Trafalgar

A hand moulded brick that reminds us of the setting sun

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln.

The brick has a red base, with colours ranging from orange red, bright red to violet. The colour effects are the result of a mixture of clay with sawdust on the one hand and brownishred, fine-grained sand on the other. All this in accurately defined proportions. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.
