Antracite Braised

ANTRACITE, because not everything has to be black and white

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln.

The brick has a grey-anthracite base. The colour is obtained by a second firing of the bricks in a low oxygen environment. This process can generate light shadings. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.
