Apollo

An extremely beautiful brick

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln. The bricks have a rough structure, irregular shape, and a strong resemblance to recovered bricks. The brick’s retro appearance is achieved by using a tumbling process.

The brick has a yellow base. The mainly beige-yellow hue has an overall ecru effect with scattered pink-brown shadings and white calcareous sediments. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality
