Why do we have this policy?
While awaiting a sector-wide approach, we are already taking the initiative with our own pallet return system. Why? The pallet return system is a win-win for both the environment and our customers:
✔ Sustainability: reusing pallets reduces waste and lowers the ecological footprint.
✔ Cost savings: for each returned reusable pallet, you receive a refund.
This policy is also in line with European regulations regarding packaging waste. By January 1, 2030, at least 40% of all packaging delivered within the EU member states must be reused, and this will increase to 70% by 2040. Together, we are helping to achieve these goals.
How does the pallet return system work?
It is simple and transparent.
Notify our sales [at] nelissen.be (Customer Service) in advance about your return. Specify the correct number and type of pallets.
Return the pallets to Nelissen Bricks in Lanaken.
Quality control: we check whether the pallets are in good condition.
Refund: for each pallet in good condition, you will receive €2.50 excluding VAT.

Please note: since we sell exclusively through distributors, it is currently not possible for private individuals to return pallets directly. The system is intended for professional customers only.

Did you know that our shrink film is fully recyclable? Thanks to its limited printing, it can even be reused as transparent recyclate. That’s why we ask you to keep the film separate and offer it through the Clean Site System. This way, we can recycle our own film into... new film!
