That extra touch

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln.

On top of white sand, white powders are applied in a scattered way, in order to obtain the grey-white sediments after firing, which results in a very light shade on this dark brown brick. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.

I would like to see some references of this brick, in my area.
