Old-Limburg

A hand moulded facing brick with the typical outdated view

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln. The bricks have a rough structure, irregular shape, and a strong resemblance to recovered bricks.

The brick has an orange base, and the hues vary from orange to burgundy in combination with marl-coloured and blue shades. The typical old aspect is the result of the wet and unbaked bricks’ treatment with various admixtures. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.
