A beautiful facade is 50% determined by the brick and 50% by the processing. As our facing bricks are a natural product, the correct method is crucial for the aesthetic end result.
The three golden rules for every facing brick
- Blending: Always mix bricks from at least 5 different packs (take them diagonally) for a natural nuance across the entire facade.
- Protection: Always cover fresh masonry at the end of the working day to prevent rain penetration and efflorescence.
- Weather: Never work during frost or rain. In very dry and warm weather, it is often necessary to pre-wet the bricks for proper adhesion.
- Clean workmanship: A clean facade starts during the bricklaying process. Prevent mortar residue and staining by taking the right precautions. Read here how to keep fresh masonry clean and how to remove mortar splashes.
