What are engobes?

Engobes are thin layers of clay applied to bricks before they are baked. They consist of clay powders, minerals and colour pigments and provide extra colour nuances and a specific finish. In our range, you will only find engobed bricks in the Caprice range.

Attention: engobes are only on one stretch side and one head side. Therefore, the choice of facing side when processing determines the final facade appearance.

What should you pay attention to when processing engobed bricks?

Recommended method: Always process the engobed side facing forward.
